the art of listening

This was not a great photo, but I just had to share an image of these two white ducks.

Doesn’t it look like they are quacking past each other, and that neither one is listening to what the other one has to say?

  1. Looks like they are sharing a joke at the black one’s expense. I think it’s a great photo. 🙂

  2. oh – I hope not! But they were funny .. I have a whole series of white duck photos; if I could only figure out how to post them all together so you could see their antics.

  3. Are these pekin ducks? Love how you’ve caught them engaged in conversation. FUN!

  4. Logan loves ducks, and thinks this pic is pretty cool.
(I think they’re excluding the poor black duck)

  5. marcie: I don’t know what pekin ducks are! I’ll have to look that up and see.

ann b: I still hope not. Maybe he just happened to be standing behind them and they were so busy gabbing that they didn’t even notice him.

    maryann: good point!

  6. I agree with Toni, the poor black duck doesn’t look and all impressed with what is going on. See being left out hurts 😦

  7. to me they look like they are talking over each other and ignoring that tag-a-long black duck. that’s me. the black duck. i hated middle school didn’t you?
    i like this photo!
    🙂

  8. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I was shy, and had just moved to a new area, which is not particularly fun when you’re shy – especially if you’re geeky and non-athletic, LOL
