the truth about cats and dogs

Atlas and I were out for his noon walk. The sun was shining. The birds were singing. We saw a cat on a windowsill, basking in the warm sun. All of a sudden, a black and white spotted nose pushed up to that same window and the owner of the nose began barking, “wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff.” The cat swatted the dog on the nose – hard. He backed up a little, then pressed up close again. “Wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff.” The cat swatted him again – twice. He pulled his head back again, just for a second, then came back. “Wuff. Wuff. Wuff.” The cat looked at him with a very aggrieved expression, turned, and jumped off the windowsill onto the bed.

  1. That’s a funny story. Don’t ya just love cats and dogs? Umm…what’s your photo?? I can’t even tell by your tags!! Sorry. 🙂

  2. Okay, no fair…you changed the photo! Atlas is so cute in his hoodie.

  3. yeah .. I just wasn’t feeling the other one, LOL. Though for some reason, b&w look so much different when they’re posted on my blog (or elsewhere) than they do in real life. They’re lighter in hue, and not for the better. Very very strange.

  4. It’s just the opposite for me – they seem to be darker. That is strange.

  5. haha…..dress up time! He looks cute 🙂

Funny, I was just thinking about that movie your title is named after.

  6. This reminds me of one of William Wegman’s (sp?) photographs. FUN!!!

  7. thanks for the funny story. Love the pic but Atlas doesn’t look all that impressed.
